Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector VS Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother

Profumazione

No Clarins, non vedo molte differenze XD!

Ciao Belle!!!!

Urban Decay Naked Palette 1, 2 & 3 easy looks + UD Naked Flushed Streak first impressions

Okay. I suppose nobody really needs all Urban Decay Naked palettes. But I am a proud owner of all the three and I have my reasons.
I absolute adore the first Naked palette, it is the eyeshadow palette that I grab most for my day or night looks. It is possible that you can find - or create yourself- your own Naked palette as these colour tones are just like everywhere, but I prefer staying loyal to Urban Decay ;).
I must admit that this palette has sadly a big con....the packaging. It is really not travel-friendly and the velvet cover just keeps getting dirty...so, that is also why I decided to buy Naked palette 2. The colour tone is similar to the 1 but cooler and the metal packaging is just much easier to handle, especially when you travel somewhere. (Even though I advise to keep your precious eyeshadow palette in your hand luggage, because airport loaders are just bad. too bad, trust me!).
And than, the Naked palette 3 came along. The reason why I bought it is really much related to its pink tones. I own already a Dior palette with the same color range - Rose Collection- and just suits my pale complexion very well.
So, here, we are. All three Urban Decay Naked palettes are mine. Said all that I keep myself away from the smaller and compact Naked Basic eyeshadow palette because...well for me really too much basic, sorry XD.
Last month, Urban Decay finally arrived in Germany - urrrah!- so I thought to share my love for this brand with you all. I visited their great counter at Oberpollinger in Munich and I can just declare all my love to UD, again and again XD.
The looks, I will show you here are really easy. Nothing special, I wanted to show you just how I like combine fast and easily day looks. Nothing crazy as always, but I hope you will like it.
Urban Decay palette is available now also at the new UD German online store 45,99 €.
Urban Decay palette 2 is available now also at the UD German online store 45,99 €.
Urban Decay palette 3 is available now also at the UD German online store 45,99 €.
You may have also noticed a new arrival in my Naked family: UD Naked Flushed in Streak (31,99 €).
At first, I was not really keen to buy this blush palette. I usually do not like products which combine bronzer+blush+highlighter because I feel the application can get a bit messy.
But when I saw the swatches of this product I could not resist.
Streak is the Naked Flushed palette with the most corally blush colour in the range. I must admit that I was tempted to buy the blush palette with the pink blush - Native- but I have SO many pink blushes that I chose the coral one instead.

The metal packaging is very compact, perfect for travelling.
The bronzer is a medium tone - not too dark on pale complexion - and the texture is sooo buttery, you have to be careful applying it.
The highlighter has a subtle frosty finish. The payoff is not that great if I have to be honest with you.
The coral blush is my favourite part of the palette. This is my first matte coral blush, I love its pigmentation and payoff on my pale complexion.

I used it already a couple of times and till now, I am satisfied. Not really a must-have, but it is a good quality product. The lasting effect was really good too.

So that was all. Let me know what do you think about the Naked palettes, do you own one? or you just think they are not worth the hype? Thoughts on the flushed palettes?

Ciao belle!

Liebster Award!

fonte*

Preferisci fare acquisti online o recarti in negozi fisici?

Preferisci prodotti low cost o high end?
Cosa ne pensi dei prodotti cosmetici fai-da-te?
Usi prodotti biologici?
Cosa ne pensi delle varie beauty box?
Oltre ai blog, segui anche YouTubers?
Quale finish di rossetto preferisci?
Quale prodotto cosmetico ti ha piu' deluso?
Compri cosmetici online?
Ti fai influenzare dalle altre blogger sulle tue scelte d'acquisto?

Aspetto fiduciosa di leggere le vostre risposte!

Empties # August 14

As you can see from the photo above, I managed to use up so many products in the last month!
But I promise, I will try to keep as short as possible in my following reviews XD . So let's get started!!!

1. Paris Amour Body Lotion Bath&Body Works (12,50 $)
I bought this body lotion with the offer Buy 3, Get 1 free back in Istanbul. The consistence as all this kind of B&B W lotion is quite liquid but it is absorbed by the skin pretty fast. It was a pleasant sweet smell, but not totally my taste.
rating 3/5

2. Bagnoschiuma con estratto di iris Fiori Scuri l'Erbolario (9 € at Erbolario)
I've already talked about this product in this post. I can just add that I loved it so much..it is a pain I cannot find L'Erbolario products here in Munich. Adorable iris perfume!
rating 4/5

3. Moonlight Path Shower Gel Bath&Body Works (12,50$)
I have already tried before the body lotion from the Moonlight collection and I must say that this is my fave B&B W fragrance so far: it is a refreshing flowery scent. Again such a pain I cannot buy these products here in Germany. Sob!
rating 5/5

4. Protective Dry Spray Oil SPF 15 Medium Hawaiian Tropic
ok, let's be honest here. I bought this dry oil back last year in Fuerteventura only because it was sold with a free lip gloss - as my boyfriend told me: ' You are a marketing slave!'. Yes, I am XD But, I just loooooove the coconut perfume, awwww! I usually use only SPF 30/50 or total - no kidding- but I was really positively surprise by this product. I used it up last month on holiday in Turkey and it was great. Really fast absorbing, no oil traces and did not make me burn at all - ok, I NEVER lie directly under the sun and I re-applied multiple times during the day..I am always in the shadow but I hope you can understand a pale redhead destiny....
rating 4/5

5. Moisturising After Sun Lotion Nivea
I really have no idea how old this product was...for sure its cooling effect was gone...so I am really happy to have finally use it up!
rating 3/5

6. Soltan Once Sun Protection SPF 30 Boots
This was a last minute buy when I was last time in London. It was so sunny & with no SPF with me, I really needed one and fast! So I just grabbed the first small sun protection product I saw and...let me tell you: it was bad. It had an annoying sticky consistence and took ages to be absorbed by the skin...not nice    rating 2/5

7. No Wrinkles Eye Repair ThisWorks (46,22 €)
I decided to invest in this high-end eye cream last month, because I'd heard so much positive reviews about ThisWorks' products. I am not that sure that this eye cream is worth its price tag...the consistence is quite thick and takes long time to be absorbed by the skin - not good when you want to be quick in the mornings! - and if not massaged properly, it leaves an unpleasant layer of product on the eye area - yuk! The fragrance is also not my taste - but this is really subjective. I can add that it did de-puff my eyes but I think this is not enough to pay almost 50€.
rating 3/5

8. Botanics Hydrating Night Cream All Bright Boots 50 ml (3,99 GBP)
Another product bought in London back in Boots. The texture is very light and easy to be absorbed. I could not see that 'brightening' effect in the morning, but I think for the price, this is a valuable night cream.
rating 4/5

9. Special Cleansing Gel Dermatologica 250 ml ( 39,99 €)
I think this was one of the best cleansing gel I have ever used in combination with my Clarisonic Mia 2. It is a bit pricey but the results on the skin are really positive. Using just a little amount of product, it leaves the face perfectly clean without irritating - which is great for sensitive skins like mine.
rating 5/5

10. No Wrinkles Wonder ThisWorks (35,10 €)
I am still not sure to have actually understood what this product was: a serum? magic water? No idea. This watery essence should help reduce imperfections and redness. It should be used after the toner and before a serum, but as I am a lazy lady, I used it instead of my day cream in the mornings. I just warmed up few drops on my palms and than applied it on my face. Did I see magic results? Ehm no...Would I bother to try similar again? Probably yes, just because I am dreamer! XD
rating 2/5

11. Evian Facial Spray
I love thermal water spray bottles in the summer! They saved me multiple of times - as I hate sticky-humid-hot water. I manage to carry always a little spray bottle in my purse - and I find it perfect to use during travels or flights. I do not see so much difference between thermal water brands, just I can tell that this packaging was not the best. The spray handle almost broke a couple of times.
rating 3/5

12. Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution Sensitive Skin 500ml (17,91 €)
I have already talked about Sensibio Bioderma in this post , this was my 3rd bottle that I have used so far. I still think that this is the best micellar water that I have ever used. Great product!
rating 5/5

13. Supreme Cleansing Oil Sephora (9,90 €)
This was the first cleansing oil that I have ever used - also mentioned in this post. It worked well - used combined with a micellar water - without irritate the skin. I liked it but I have no Sephora here in Germany, so I decided to start using directly pure coconut oil - and the result it is pretty much the same without any chemicals on your face. Win.
rating 4/5

14. Delicate Brush Head Clarisonic Mia 2 (24,99 €)
Once again a new Delicate Brush Head for my Clarisonic Mia 2 - already described in this post. Still the best brush head I have tried so far!
rating 5/5

15. Camille & Rosehip Calming Day Cream Pai (sample)
This sample was a nice gift arrived with my order at allforeves.com. It had a nice easy-to-be-absorbed texture, although I was not a big fan of the Camille scent. Definitely I did not use enough to have a proper opinion about it.
full size? maybe!

16. AvoJuice Vanilla Snowflake Body & Hand cream Opi & 17. AvoJuice Coconut Melon Body & Hand cream Opi
I am so happy to have finally used up this Opi hand cream. As I said in this post, the scent was nice but they were not hydrating my hands at all.
rating 1/5

18. Top Coat Korres (9,90 €)
This was my first Korres product bought at Müller. It contained Pro-Vitamin B5 and minerals and no silicon, acetone, formaldehyde, toluoi and xylon. So despise being really 'natural', its performance did not meet my expectations. It did dry quite fast but add no shine on my nails at all and was so bad at protecting the nail polish under it. Not really worth the price tag...
rating 1/5

19. Express Dry Drops Essence (1,99€)
I wanted to find a good cheaper dupe for Opi Dry Drops...and I think I find it. It dries very fast the nail polish, it is just a bit too oily but for the price, I cannot complain! I have already re-purchase a new bottle.
rating 4/5

20.Nail Polish Remover Extra Strong Misslyn (4,99€)
A good nail polish remover, strong but not strong enough to remove glitter nail polish alone - but this happens with most of these products.
rating 3/5

21. Shine Serum Aussie (4,99 GBP)
Another product from Boots - despite it is now Aussie available in Germany, I have never seen this here in stores.  I used it mostly on dry hair to give it texture and shine - and I pretty liked it. When I tried to use it on wet hair, ironically it did not have the same effect - no so much shine! Moreover, I tried to avoid to apply it near my hair roots as it made them greasy very easily - yuk!
rating 3/5

22. Body Builder Volumising Mousse Kevin Murphy
I was so sad when I finished this XD I bought this - my first ever volumising mousse, no kidding!- back at my German hair salon because I was so impressed when my hairdresser used it on me. It had the most lovely citrus scent and create a nice volume without making my hair sticky. It was great applied on dry and also wet hair before the blow dry.
rating 5/5

23.Catwalk Beauty Hairspray Umberto Giannini (6 GBP)
Hands down this is another products that I have bought mainly because of the cute packaging-shame on me!XD It was ok but it did not hold soooo good curls or straight hair.
rating 2/5

24.Keratin Therapy Mask Jean Louis David
I have said it before I LOVE this product line by Jean Louis David...it is just a shame that they have no online shop so I cannot re-purchase it from Germany :(  No other mask makes my hair soft and shiny like this one....
rating 5/5

25.Rockaholic Livin' the dream Shampoo Tigi
I presented this sulfate-free shampoo in this post and now I can say: it was bad. Really bad. It did nothing to my dry hair and its scent was ...horrible too - a kind of multivitamins shake scent...brrrr! I am just happy that I bought it on sales!
rating 1/5

26. Facial Towelettes with white tea extract Burt's Bees (7,95€)
I bought this Burt's Bees facial towelettes for my holiday in Turkey. I find them very practical to remove makeup - even though they are not as good as coconut oil - but good enough when you are not home. I was not that satisfied...they did not remove so well my eye makeup and the scent was for my taste way too overpowering.
rating 2/5

27. Verbena Refreshing Towelettes L'Occitane
Last year I bought this refreshing towelettes at an outlet store. Very nice and practical to keep in your purse,  just a pity that they dry out pretty fast. *not for make up*
rating 2/5

28.Simply Sensitive Eye Makeup Removal Pads Boots (2,33 GBP)
Not a fan of these makeup remover pads. Even though they were truly sensitive on my skin, they were no help at removing my makeup.
rating 2/5

29.Wet Wipes Fruity Rose H&M
I am very impressed by these H&M refreshing wipes. They were extremely cheap but the scent was very nice, pocket-size was perfect and work really well!*not for make up*
rating 5/5

30. I love Extreme Volume Mascara Essence (2,75€)
No no no no. Sorry but I really don't understand the hype on this product...I hoped I could love it...but really no way for me. First, I found really hard to use it as its brush was bigger than my nose - no kidding!- and at the beginning when it was new, I just could not avoid to make a mess with it.. As times went by, and the formula dried it up a bit...I still did not manage to like it. It did absolutely nothing to my poor short and fair lashes. I also noticed that in the evening, the product dried on my lashes and started falling in little pieces on my cheeks - yes, not nice! I wish I could find something positive to say...oh yes, it is super cheap. XD
rating FAIL!

31.Baby Lips Pink Punch Maybelline (2,95€)
I first presented this lip balm here and as I said before...I knew this was not a good idea! I've never been interested in coloured lip balms as I find them not practical - and really, if I want colour on my lips, I will use a lipstick, right? But as usual I got influenced by YouTubers and Bloggers...so I bought it. It was not love...the colour payoff was nice only the first few seconds when I applied it and than...it disappeared -_- It was the same for the hydrating effect. The baby pink colour only suited me well when I had a bit of self tan on.
rating 1/5

32.Color Riche Rose Creme 453 L'Oreal (8,95€)
A high school friend used to tell me that I always wore 'old lady-shade' lipsticks XD This L'Oreal lipstick was a good example: a pinky-mauve shade with some metallic silver undertone...with a frost finish so end of '90 XD. Definitely not my taste anymore but very good for performance: good coverage and lasting effect.
rating 4/5

33.Gold Beauty Lashes
Who knew that a pair of fake lashes bought in 1 Lira Store (Turkey) could be so good? I was really impressed. Despite the cheap price tag. these lashes were really nice and easy to apply.
rating 4/5

34.Precision Eye Pencil Silver Stallone 030 Catrice (2,29€)
I should praise this eye pencil just for its name - Silver Stallone?!?!XD  This retractable eye pencil had a nice metallic silver, great pigmentation but...the lead way tooooo much soft and it kept breaking all the time - so you know now how I've finished this up. Just a pity, because it was very nice smudged around the eye.
rating 2/5

35.Eau Fraiche Dior Addict 50ml (69,95€)
I really love this flowery fresh scent by Dior - perfect for Spring/Summer months. Just a pity the scent did not last on my very long...for this price I expected better but I suppose this is very subjective XD.
rating 4/5

36. Body Spray Butterfly Wings Ted Baker 50ml (2,50 GBP)
I am a huge fan of Ted Baker so when I saw he had a beauty line in Boots - I had to buy something! I usually do not use body spray but I appreciated this sweet bergamot scent was nice , not too overpowering.
rating 3/5

Prodotti in crema

Illuminanti in polvere

All Over Illuminante in Perla Bianca 3.

Matita illuminante

  • Toni rosati: un altro acquisto abbastanza recente, e' Essence Bloom me up!

Chiedo venia!

E voi, quali illuminanti preferite utilizzare? Preferite i prodotti in crema o in polvere? Fatemi sapere la vostra opinione!

Baci Belle!

London Trip - and a bit of Cambridge too....

It is holiday time! Where have you been or have plans to go to? About a month ago I was lucky enough to visit for few days one of my fave city in the world... London :) I thought that it could be interesting to leave you some impressions of my trip and here we are.

I tried to count how many times I have been already in London and I think this was my seventh time there! Yep , a lot! but I always find something new to see :) This time was even more special because it was the first British trip for my boyfriend ......so we had to do all typical touristic things :)

fly with me!

As we live in Munich, we have no low cost airline here flying to London :( too bad! EasyJet and British Airways are almost the only option ....and they have almost the same price - counting the luggage fees. So we chose to fly with British Airways to Heatrow.
At Heathrow we bought two Oyster cards- a rechargeable smartcard for London transportation- and cought the underground to the centre - everything is pretty easy.

walking walking walking

As I said before this was the first time in London for my boyfriend, so we tried to visit as much as possible on foot. The weather was great and we could walk a lot!
We had a lovely walk on the Thames Path and had a great view on the Tower Bridge and London Bridge.
Moving forward we could not miss to have some photos on Westminster, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and Trafalgar Square - I still think that the Hahn Statue made by a German artist is just too bad for this lovely square. What do you think?

If you have the chance to spend a sunny day in London- and I saw at least once 'Notting Hill' - I strongly advise you to have a look on the Portobello Market. I just love the area with all these multi coloured houses and a great open air market where you can find real bargains. When we visited the antiques section, I found a first edition illustrated book of Lewis Carroll's 'Through the looking-glass and what Alice found here'- yes, I am a super fan of Alice in Wonderland and illustrated books - but I had to leave it because it was out of my budget...a pity!!!

Walking down Portobello Road I could not believe my eyes when I saw this restaurant:

I could not believe that in the middle of Portobello Market, I could find a restaurant from my not-famous-at all Italian Region : Friuli Venezia Giulia :D We had not time to stop at Bottega Friıulana, but for sure I will be back! Friulian cuisine is quite different from the typical Italian one and our wines are just awesome - so if you pass by, have a look at the menu!!

In a walking section it is impossible not to talk about London parks!!! There are so many that are worth I visit :) During our trip, we stopped by Regent's Park and Hyde Park - where we had a nice encounter:

Isn't it lovely? :D Well, is it just me or squirrels in London are much skinnier than the one in Central Park in New York? ;)
One evening we had a lovely walk on South Bank - it was so lovely ! Seeing the city by night, wow! It is a great path, full of architectonic marvels, lights, artists, cafes and I advise it to you all :)

A bit of culture?

There so many museums, galleries and exhibits that I love in London but as my boyfriend has a 'two museum' each holiday limit so I had to choose what he could like best.I could not miss to go back to the British Museum; years back I went to London with my father who spent three entire days in this Museum...no kidding! hahhaha I may not that archaeology fan but I love The Parthenon part and all the ancient Greece statue - a real wonder!!!

The second museum that I chose ...it was entirely for my boyfriend. Guess what? Even grown-up boys love dinosaurs! The Natural History Museum was really interesting; it was my first time there and we had much fun!
Did I mention that both these museums were free of charge? Very good I know ;)

food food food

We eat mostly out during the evening -our hosts brought us to many different restaurants. It is interesting to notice that everything looks so nice but it is not unique. Most of the restaurants are part of franchising chains, so you can find the same restaurants everywhere! They are not bad though, for example I quite like Honest Burgers
Than of course, pubs! We had few meals there and I re-discover my love for cider!hahaha! I know, I live in Germany and I should like beer but it is not for me. I consider cider a good compromise :D.

Well and if you want a good pizza and you are near Covent Garden, I can suggest you Homeslice Pizza-  it is very 'buona'!!! You have to believe me because I am Italian, right? ;)

We also cooked home often and on Saturday we visited Borough Market - a real food mecca!!!The quality of food sold is very high and you can find almost anything there. And of course, while you visit this food market you cannot resist to eat something on the spot - we had like the best fish sandwich with spicy sauce ever! Delicious!

During our visit it was Eurovision-time, it was great to spot this Conchita Wurst's cake - although I voted for Italy, sorry Austria!

My only food-souvenir that I brought back in Germany is this Maltesers malty chocolate drink........I love it!

and than came Cambridge

Considered that my hosts knew that I visited London many times, they thought it could have been nice to show me something new: Cambridge! We rent a car on Sunday and in about two hours we were in the worldwide university town.
To have a better view on all Cambridge beautiful buildings we took a punting (boat) tour. Let's be honest, nobody ever been afraid in these tour except...well me. The river is relatively narrow and there are so many boats that there are often collisions - trust me! Nothing dangerous .....It is quite funny to think about it now ;) By the way our tour guide was very nice and explained all about Cambridge's old colleges.

I was also very happy to shop in a great book store where I could find a lovely 'Alice in Wonderland' illustrated book and like - the best ever shopping bag for Jane Austen's fans....all in my shopping photo.

Shopping?

I really had not so much time to shop - with my boyfriend it is almost impossible. So almost all you can see here . I have bought all  in Boots and Topshop. I try always to buy products that are not available here in Germany....and I think I succeeded!hahaah
I had just a quick stop at Spitalfield Market - which I adore...I want to go back there ;)

Alternative London Tour

In this last section. I want to talk about the Alternative London Walking Tour. It is a great opportunity to discover the incredible London street art and incredible surroundings. Starting on Spitalfields Market, the tour guide brings you to discover all hidden artwork and gives great insight on the art scene. As street art changes rapidly, you will probably not see the artworks pictured above anymore! So I decided to show my favourite pieces:

I wish I could remember the artist's names - sorry for that!!!! This tour is a pay-what-you-like basis, so it means that at the end you can give as much you think is fair. Our guide was Ben Slow - a name impossible to forget, right? - who himself is a great artist!!

London and cats

well , I hope you could appreciate this not-so-fancy post about my last British trip. There are thousand of things we did or visit that I have not mentioned but I do not want to bore you to death so that's it!
Just the last thing I want to show is this lovely cat who was living next of my boyfriend's sister. It was soooo lovely! It uses to visit us on the window :) I have never thought of seeing cats in London and now I can say - this is the perfect city!

Baci belle!!!
